Nickel-based alloys refer to a class of alloys that have comprehensive properties such as high strength and certain oxidation and corrosion resistance at high temperatures of 650-1000 °C. According to the main performance, it is divided into nickel-based heat-resistant alloys, nickel-based corrosion-resistant alloys, nickel-based wear-resistant alloys, nickel-based precision alloys and nickel-based shape memory alloys.
Nickel-based alloys are the most widely used and the highest high-temperature strength alloys among superalloys. The main reasons are, one is that more alloying elements can be dissolved in nickel-based alloys and can maintain good stability; the other is that coherent ordered A3B intermetallic compounds γ'-[Ni(Al,Ti )] phase is used as a strengthening phase to effectively strengthen the alloy and obtain higher high-temperature strength than iron-based superalloys and cobalt-based superalloys; the third is that nickel-based alloys that contain a lot of chromium have better Oxidation and gas corrosion resistance.
